No account, no chat logs, nothing sold. This page says exactly what that means, including the few things that do have to happen for Sherlock to work.

What we never store

  • Your questions and Sherlock's answers. They exist in memory only while your request runs. There is no database table for them and the server doesn't log request bodies.
  • Your IP address. See how free questions are counted below.
  • Any link between a wallet and what it asked.

What stays on your device

Your case history (the tokens you looked at, your questions and the answers) is saved in your browser's local storage so you can reopen a case. It never leaves your device. Clear it from the history panel, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

How free questions are counted

Without a wallet, daily limits are counted against a one-way hash of your IP address combined with a secret and the current date. The hash changes at 00:00 UTC, so today's counter can't be linked to yesterday's, and the IP address itself is never written down. Counters older than two days are deleted.

Connecting a wallet

Optional. If you connect a wallet, you sign one message that proves you control it. It is not a transaction, can't move funds and grants no approvals. Sherlock reads that wallet's $SHERLOCK balance on Robinhood Chain and gives your browser a pass (a signed cookie) holding the wallet address and your tier for 12 hours. Your daily counter is then keyed to the wallet address instead of the IP hash. Disconnecting removes the pass.

Wallet connection uses your browser wallet directly. No third-party wallet SDK or tracking script is loaded.

Services that see a request

  • AI model provider: to write an answer, your question and the case file for that token are sent to our model provider for that request. Their API data policy applies to it.
  • DexScreener: when you paste an address, our server asks DexScreener for that token's market data. Your IP isn't forwarded.
  • Robinhood Chain RPC: our server reads balances, blocks and contract data.
  • Hosting and analytics: the site runs on Vercel, with cookieless, aggregate page analytics and performance metrics. They don't record what you type.

What we do store

Public data only: blockchain history, public X posts and engagement, market snapshots, evidence computed from them (which can reveal that someone looked at a token, never who), daily counters, and the ops wallet's income and spending.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that weakens a promise on this page will be announced first.
